MLS is back! As the NHL and NBA bid adieu to their respective seasons in the past week, MLS returned from the Copa America Centenario break and, ahem, there were games.
Mike Grella wins MLS Player of the Week for Week 15

There were good performances, to be sure, but there was also a handful of games that felt like teams were just starting out for the season. And as we often find in these contests, the player who scored the most goals won SB Nation's MLS Player of the Week award, as New York Red Bulls' Mike Grella took top honors after scoring two against the Seattle Sounders.
If you follow this feature regularly, the voters seem to really love the Red Bulls as they get votes nearly every week, and the nexus of being a Red Bull and scoring the most goals proved to be irresistible. To be fair, Grella is one of the most fun players to watch, and he did make the difference in his side’s win.
