Arsene Wenger, Jurgen Klinsmann rumored as top candidates for England job
No, England won’t hire either of them. Yes, we should have fun with this.

The next person to sit in the manager’s chair during an England match is likely to be Gareth Southgate, the current England Under-21 boss. But he probably won’t get the job permanently, just until England is willing to get the manager they really want. They might even be patient and let Southgate have the job until next May.
Arsene Wenger has been mentioned as a top target, though Arsenal are confident he won’t take the England job. Still, if there’s some mutual interest, it’s possible Southgate could take the reigns for a year, letting Wenger take over once Arsenal’s season is finished.
There’s also Jurgen Klinsmann, who the English press is enamored with for god knows what reason. Sky Sports is reporting that Klinsmann is interested in the job. Klinsmann has at least one big endorsement, from Jamie Carragher.
