Euro 2016 has reached the quarterfinal round, and the first match we'll be treated to is red-hot Poland against a Portugal team that showed improvement in the Round of 16 but still have room for more. This may not be the biggest matchup of the round, but it could prove to be one of the most interesting by the time the final whistle blows.

Portugal had to struggle through their match with Croatia, finally winning it very late in extra time on their first truly great scoring chance of the day. But despite those struggles, they finally seemed to be finding their legs in this tournament for the first time, and with that added to the otherworldly talents of Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal are a threat that can’t be counted out.

Poland, on the other hand, have been one of the best teams in the tournament so far. They had to go to penalties against Switzerland, but the Swiss had to put in their best performance of the Euros to force the match to go that far, and in the group stage few teams were better. Robert Lewandowski is the obvious star of Poland, but the team behind him is better than they’re given credit for and is wonderfully balanced. This matchup is fascinating because of how good Poland are, and the match should be all the better for it.

To watch this match online, you’ll be using Watch ESPN in the U.S. The match won’t be streamed online in Poland or Portugal, but to find listings in other countries check out LiveSoccerTV.
