The International Champions Cup marches on, this time featuring a match between Celtic and Barcelona in Dublin, Ireland. While Celtic don’t exactly have the standing and firepower they once did to be able to go toe-to-toe with Barcelona, they’re going to come into this match at a high level of motivation and with multiple competitive matches under their belt.
Barcelona vs. Celtic 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch International Champions Cup online
Celtic are not enjoying their start to life under Brendan Rodgers, and Barcelona won’t be looking to make it any easier.

Of course, the sailing hasn’t exactly been smooth for the Scottish champions. Life under new manager Brendan Rodgers got off to about as bumpy a start as possible when he led his team to a disastrous loss to a semi-professional side from Gibraltar in Champions League qualifying. They corrected with a big win back in Scotland, but it was a sign that not all is clicking yet for Celtic, one worsened by a draw away to Kazakhstan club Astana in the current qualifying round. That’s something Rodgers and company need to correct as soon as possible -- preferably before they face Astana in the second leg next week.
Fun Barcelona player to watch: Denis Suarez
No, not that Suarez. Denis is one of Barcelona’s newest signings and could potentially wind up playing a big role for them this season. With Rafinha struggling with injury and Munir El Haddadi still not looking ready yet, Barcelona need a wide attacker to step up and be an impact player off the bench. If Suarez can perform well in their preseason matches, that could be him. How he performs in this match will bear close scrutiny for Barcelona fans, because he could become very, very important for them in the upcoming months.
Fun Celtic FC player to watch: Moussa Dembele
Dembele made a decision surprising to many when he hopped over to Celtic instead of joining a team in the English Premier League, but he’s looking to make the most of his choice anyway. An impressive performance against a team as powerful as Barcelona would be a good way to start himself on that path, and it would make him an instant fan favorite as the matches get bigger and more important for Celtic over the coming weeks.
