If Portugal are to beat Wales and make it to the Euro 2016 final on Wednesday, they'll do so without defender Pepe. The Real Madrid center back has been left out of their squad after failing to recover from a thigh injury. It's a big blow for Fernando Santos' side, with Pepe having been one of his most impressive performers so far. Bruno Alves comes in for him alongside José Fonte.
Portugal vs. Wales lineups
The teams have been announced for Euro 2016’s first semifinal.

Meanwhile, Eliseu exits to make way for the returning Raphaël Guerreiro at left back, while William Carvalho is dropped and replaced by Danilo in the center of midfield. André Gomes, who missed their victory over Poland through injury, is omitted.
Wales are forced into two changes, with Ben Davies and Aaron Ramsey both ruled out through suspension. The former is replaced at the heart of defense by veteran James Collins, while Andy King is preferred to Jonny Williams in Ramsey’s spot. That’s probably a slight defensive move by coach Chris Coleman, who isn’t taking any risks with his side just a game away from their first-ever major tournament final.
Portugal starting lineup (4-3-1-2): Rui Patrício; Raphaël Guerreiro, José Fonte, Bruno Alves, Cédric; Adrien Silva, Danilo Pereira, João Mário; Renato Sanches; Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani.
Wales starting lineup (3-5-1-1): Wayne Hennessey; James Chester, Ashley Williams, James Collins; Chris Gunter, Joe Allen, Joe Ledley, Andy King, Neil Taylor; Gareth Bale; Hal Robson-Kanu.
