By no means are Brazil and Australia two of the top teams in international women’s soccer, but if you’re only going to catch one of the quarterfinals in the women’s Olympic soccer tournament, make it this one. While there will be great tactical play and defending in the other matches, this one is sure to be the most fun.
Brazil vs. Australia 2016 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch Olympic soccer online
Expect lots of goals in this women’s Olympic quarterfinal.

NBCSN will televise the match, which begins at 9 p.m. ET, and will be available to watch online via NBCOlympics.com.
The Brazilian women’s team has become especially popular at Rio 2016 because they’ve been extremely entertaining in contrast to the men. Legendary attacker and five-time world player of the year Marta is 30 and hasn’t been the best version of herself since 2011, but she seems to have found her form again, and looks capable of leading Brazil to a medal.
But Australia’s plenty entertaining too. They scored two of the best goals of the tournament in a 2-2 draw with Germany, and were only held scoreless against Canada through some combination of poor finishing and truly awful luck. Their top players are just coming into their primes too -- Caitlin Foord and Sam Kerr, just 21 and 22, were handed their debuts for the Matildas as teenagers and are starting to play like veterans.
Between the partisan crowd, the creative talent and the attacking styles of play on display from both teams, this game should be great. It kicks off at 9 p.m. ET from Estadio Minerao in Belo Horizonte, and you can watch it live online at NBCOlympics.com.
