One-time Olympic gold medalists Nigeria take on Denmark in Saturday’s men’s football quarterfinal.

The game kicks off at 3 p.m. ET, televised by NBCSN. You can watch online and on your mobile device on NBC’s Olympics coverage.
Nigeria’s tally proved sufficient for them to top a group also containing Colombia, Japan and Sweden, with the reassuring presence of Chelsea veteran John Obi Mikel in the center of midfield helping them to success. In contrast, Denmark progressed from their group as runners up to Brazil, and suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat to the hosts in their final group game. It would certainly be understandable if the Scandinavian outfit headed into this match with their confidence slightly dented.
Both of these sides have history in this tournament: Denmark have thrice won the silver medal, and finished in third place on one occasion. Nigeria can claim to have gone one better: they won gold in 1996, and followed that up with their only other medal, a silver, in 2008.
