Having defeated reigning champions Mexico 1-0 in their last outing, the South Korea’s men’s football team ensured their progression to the Olympic quarterfinals as group winners. Headed up by Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min, the bronze medalists from London four years ago are out for gold this time around. They need a win over minnows Honduras at the Mineirão on Saturday if they’re to make it into the final four.

There's little doubt that South Korea are the favorites, but Honduras will head in high on confidence. The Central American nation ended up as the seventh-best nation in the last edition of this tournament, but they appear a little better prepared this time around.
Though Honduras were reliant on tiebreakers to make it into the knockout stages, they managed to progress at the expense of a talented Argentina side. If they’re to make it to the semis, they’ll be reliant on more impressive performances from striker Anthony Lozano, who has chipped in with a couple of goals so far. Watch this space.
