Two of the top international teams in women's football go head-to-head in Tuesday's Olympic semifinal. Though FIFA's rankings have Germany some eight places ahead of Canada and behind only the United States, the North American outfit will head into their clash in Belo Horizonte high on confidence. That's partly because these sides have already met at the Olympics, with the Canadians emerging 2-1 winners in the group stages.

Germany will be paying particularly close attention to veteran forward Melissa Tancredi, who netted both goals in Canada's win last week. What's more, Canada have won all four of their games in Brazil so far; Germany, meanwhile, qualified through the group stages in second place only on goal difference. Though Germany are on paper the stronger team, it's their opponents who have all of the momentum.
