The United States are off to a great start in their 2016 Olympics run, beating New Zealand 2-0 on Wednesday to start their defense of their 2012 gold medal off with a win. Now, though, they have to face France, easily their toughest group stage opponent -- but they do so knowing that a win will get them to the quarterfinals.

The USWNT are off to a great start, but need to kick it up a gear or two to make sure they beat France.
The match will be streamed online at NBCOlympics.com in the United States. It won't be shown online in France, but for streaming options in other countries you can check out LiveSoccerTV.
Carli Lloyd and Alex Morgan played fantastically for the USWNT against New Zealand, but they're going to need their defense to step up against a top-notch French attack. Eugenie Le Sommer and Amandine Henry had a field day against Colombia on Wednesday and come into this match as the hot hands of the tournament, and the USWNT's back line is going to have to work hard to keep them in check. Do that, though, and they have more than enough firepower of their own to overwhelm France's defense to get the win.
