Celtic may still have fond memories of playing Barcelona in the Champions League, with Neil Lennon having masterminded an unlikely 2-1 victory at Parkhead in the group stages back in 2012. However, they also met at the same stage a season later, and were thrashed 6-1 on their visit to Camp Nou. They'll be looking to avoid a similar result on Tuesday, though that could be rather easier said than done.

Barcelona are strong favourites in their Champions League group stage opener against Celtic.
Though Celtic head in high on confidence after thrashing Old Firm rivals Rangers over the weekend, and Barcelona are looking to recover from a stunning defeat at home to Deportivo Alavés, the Catalan giants are still very much the favourites for victory. Coach Luis Enrique has almost a full-strength team available, with Lionel Messi and Andrés Iniesta having returned to action after injury over the weekend. Their only absentee is summer signing André Gomes.
Celtic, in contrast, will be without star striker Leigh Griffiths, who also missed the victory over Rangers with a hamstring tear. Brendan Rodgers’ side will instead likely be reliant on a big performance from 20-year-old Moussa Dembélé, who signed from Fulham over the summer. He scored a hat trick in his debut Old Firm encounter on Saturday, and will doubtless be hoping to make another splash.
