The rivalry between Inter Milan and Juventus is commonly known as the Derby d'Italia, and not without good reason. These fierce matches are fought between the most successful sides in Italian football history, and are traditionally some of the peninsula's most intriguing encounters. Let's hope that proves the case again on Sunday, when these sides lock horns in Serie A for the first time this season.

Unfortunately for Inter supporters, recent derby matches have proven rather one-sided. Juventus’ period of domestic domination has coincided with a period of derby domination. Though Juve lost when these sides met in the second leg of the Coppa Italia last season, they still won the tie on penalties. They’ve not lost a single derby home or away in Serie A since 2012, and look set to extend that run on Sunday.

Juve would move back to the top of the table if they maintain their winning record in Serie A, while Inter are still looking to find their feet under new coach Frank de Boer. They’ve only picked up four points from their first three matches, and suffered an embarrassing defeat at home to Israeli side Haopel Be’er Sheva in Thursday’s Europa League encounter. Things could quite easy get embarrassing for the Nerazzurri.
