The Bundesliga is finally getting back underway after Germany’s long winter break, and who better to kick the season back off than the league leaders, Bayern Munich? They won’t be restarting the season at home, though, instead heading west to face Freiburg in a match that could see them re-establish a significant lead atop the Bundesliga.

Bayern haven’t lost in their last six competitive matches, including a huge 3-0 win over upstart RB Leipzig, the newly-promoted side who have been mounting a surprise title challenge this season. A win for Bayern against Freiburg -- a team that had a four-match unbeaten run in December but failed to win their last four winter friendlies — could see them pull as much as six huge points ahead of Leipzig if the challengers can’t beat Frankfurt this weekend.

One thing is for sure: Bayern are tired of having another Bundesliga team nipping at their heels, and with their confidence back at a high point after a strong close to the first half of the season, it looks like there’s every chance they’ll start pulling away from the league very soon. A win here would send them on their way — and see Freiburg’s dreams of challenging for a European qualifying place come to an early end.

To watch this match online in the U.S. you can stream it on the Fox Soccer 2GO subscription service or, depending on your internet provider, you can watch it freely on Fox Sports Go. In Germany, it will be on Sky Go Deutschland, and for listings in other countries you can check out LiveSoccerTV.

TV: Fox Sports 1 (U.S.), Sky Bundesliga 1/HD (Germany)

Match Date/Time: Friday, 2:30 p.m. ET, 8:30 p.m. local
