Barcelona find themselves two points and a game-in-hand adrift of La Liga leaders Real Madrid heading into the 20th matchday, but they will provisionally reduce their deficit if they can beat Real Betis on Sunday. It's certainly a game Luis Enrique's side should be winning, and given that they've now recorded five straight victories in all competitions, they'll be confident.

Barcelona travel to play mid-table Real Betis on Sunday, and will be expecting a comfortable victory.

Betis, meanwhile, may well be fearing the worst. Víctor’s men find themselves down in 14th place heading into the round, having won only one of their last five in all competitions. The Andalusian outfit have a comfortable buffer over the bottom three, but they need to find some form if they’re to stand any chance of matching last season’s comfortable mid-table finish.

Three big things to know
1. Betis will be boosted by the return of defender Aïssa Mandi, who has returned from the Africa Cup of Nations after his Algeria side failed to win a single group game. However, they are currently struggling with several injury problems: Darko Brašanac is their only confirmed absentee, though he could be joined on the sidelines by the likes of Alvaro Cejudo, Cristiano Piccini and Antonio Sanabria.
2. Barcelona are still certainly without Andrés Iniesta, while Rafinha and Sergio Busquets look likely to join him on the sidelines. Sergi Roberto and Javier Mascherano will have to pass late fitness tests if they're to be involved.
3. If Barça win, they'll become only the third team to beat Betis in their own backyard this season. The Andalusian outfit's two home defeats both came in October, with Real Madrid and Espanyol both recording victories at the Estadio Benito Villamarin.
