Athletic Bilbao vs. Barcelona 2017 live stream: Time, TV channel, and how to watch online

Barcelona are off to face Athletic Bilbao as they seek to continue their roaring start to the La Liga season.

After this weekend, we’ll already be a quarter of the way through the La Liga season, and if Barcelona can manage another win on Saturday when they visit Athletic Bilbao, they’ll have set a blistering pace to the start of the season, one that the rest of Spain will struggle to keep up with.

Another win for Barcelona would see Los Cules sitting on 28 points through ten games, having dropped just two in league action to date this season. That’s an incredible pace and one that will put Barca in a strong position to run away with the title race if they can even remotely keep up this run.

But to be in that position they first have to beat Athletic Bilbao, and that’s never an automatic thing, especially at the always-rowdy San Mames. They’ve won just one of their last five matches, but that one win was their only home match in that run, and they’ve won three of their last five at home in all competitions. Barcelona will have to be on their game to get through here — though that’s hardly been an issue this season.

Both teams are wracked by injuries, with Iker Muniain, Yeray Alvarez, Mikel Balenziaga, and Oscar De Marcos all missing out for Athletic Bilbao. Barcelona are still without Rafinha and Ousmane Dembele as they have been for weeks, but joining them on the sideline more recently are Thomas Vermaelen, Andres Iniesta, Arda Turan, and Aleix Vidal. It’s a tough thing to be missing so many players, and it will be interesting to see how both teams adapt to that misfortune.
