USMNT vs. Panama live stream: How to watch World Cup qualifier online

On Friday night, the United States men’s national team can take control of its 2018 World Cup qualifying destiny or put itself in a massive hole. The Americans are in serious need of a win at home against Panama.

Through eight matches, Panama is in third place in the Hex on 10 points, while the USMNT is in fourth place on 9. Just behind the Americans on the same number of points, but with a worse goal differential is Honduras. The third-placed team in CONCACAF qualifies for the World Cup directly, fourth place goes to an intercontinental playoff and fifth place misses out entirely.

The USMNT is coming off a pair of poor performances during the last international break. Bruce Arena’s side was beaten at home by Costa Rica, then scraped an ugly draw away to Honduras. But a win against Panama would get the USMNT right back on track and make it big favorites to qualify for Russia 2018.

Panama is missing a few players due to injury. Defender Harold Cummings, midfielder Miguel Camargo and attacker Valentín Pimentel were all unavailable for selection. The United States is also without some key players, with John Brooks and Jordan Morris unavailable for this international break. Fabian Johnson was also left off this USMNT roster due to a lack of match fitness.
