The rivalry between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund has become one of the most fun clashes to watch in recent years, and on Saturday they face off once more in the Signal Iduna Park with the top spot in the Bundesliga at stake.

Bayern Munich have overcome a slow start to their season to reclaim the top spot in Germany, thanks to a lull in form from Borussia Dortmund that saw them slip out of the prime position in the Bundesliga. Dortmund are winless in their last three league matches and have won just a single match in their last six in all competitions, a stretch including a pair of disappointing draws to lowly APOEL in the Champions League, and a shocking 4-2 loss to Hannover in the Bundesliga a week ago.

Bayern, meanwhile, have been rolling ever since the arrival of interim manager Jupp Heynckes, who has re-taken the reins at the club he’s best known for managing and winning championships with. He’s lead the Bavarians to six straight wins in all competitions, and they have yet to give up a goal in three Bundesliga matches since he took over three weeks ago.

That’s an impressive run of form, though thanks to some injury concerns they’ll have to step up their play yet another gear. Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski may be in line to feature in this match after recent injury spells, but Franck Ribery, Manuel Neuer, and Juan Bernat are still out. Dortmund will be without a pair of defenders as well, with Lukasz Piszczek hurt and Dan-Axel Zagadou suspended, leaving them somewhat shorthanded against Bayern’s eternally high-powered attack.
