Real Madrid have been knocked back on their heels of late, but they’re being given a chance to find their footing somewhat before the international break with a match against Las Palmas, who have struggled their way deep into the relegation zone in La Liga.

Last season, Las Palmas were one of the more surprising and fun teams in Spain, not finishing particularly high up the table, but earning a number of eye-opening results and staying in La Liga despite no one really giving the tiny club a chance. This year, though, they’ve earned just six points through ten matches, putting them in 19th place thanks to a six-match losing streak in the league.

That lowly standing is giving Real Madrid fans hope, and it could give Zinedinze Zidane a chance to pull some beleaguered starters in need of a rest and rotate in some young blood after they’ve dropped two straight matches, including getting absolutely rocked by Tottenham Hotspur in England a few days ago. Players like Marco Asensio, Dani Ceballos, Theo Hernandez, Marcos Llorente, and Lucas Vazquez are all hungry for more playing time to prove what they can do for this team, and coming in to help spark Madrid against a reeling Las Palmas side could be exactly the time for them to do just that.
