Tigres UANL and Monterrey put on a show in the first leg of the Liga MX final and couldn’t find anything to separate themselves. Both teams will feel like they can lift the trophy on Sunday after a 1-1 first-leg draw.
Preview and how to watch Leg 2 of the Liga MX final
Anything can happen after a wild first leg.

However, both teams will be without key defenders due to red cards late in what turned into a feisty first leg. Center back Hugo Ayala is suspended for Tigres, while Rayados will be without left back Leonel Vangioni.
The atmosphere for the second leg should be incredible with over 51,000 packing Monterrey’s stadium as they host their leg of the first-ever Clásico Regio final. Tigres were finalists last season and champions two seasons ago, while their local rivals Monterrey last won Liga MX in the 2010 Apertura.
Both teams will be looking for more from their star strikers in the second leg. Tigres’ Andre-Pierre Gignac and Monterrey’s Avilés Hurtado both missed big chances in the opening leg.
There is no higher seed or away goals tiebreaker in play in the Liguilla final. If the aggregate score is tied at the end of 90 minutes on Sunday, the two teams will go to extra time and penalties if necessary.
