Osasuna head into this match having won just one of their first 21 league games of the season so far. It’s a remarkably poor run that has left them eight points adrift of safety, and they’re relying on a miracle over the second half of the campaign to avoid dropping into the second tier. Anything other than a heavy defeat at home to Madrid would be impressive.

Three big things to know
1. Osasuna will be without the injured Javier and Miguel Flaño, Didier Digard, and Nauzet, while Roberto Torres is suspended.
2. Real Madrid's injury list is shorter, but not necessarily any less hard-hitting. They'll be without injured winger Gareth Bale, who hasn't made an appearance since November, while Toni Kroos will miss this one through suspension.
3. Real Madrid have won each of their last four encounters with Osasuna, and haven’t been beaten by them since 2011. On that occasion Javier Camuñas scored the only goal of the game just past the hour mark, as José Mourinho’s side succumbed to a surprise 1-0 defat.
