Real Madrid grounds crew only waters the half of the pitch Napoli plays on

UEFA probably won’t be thrilled.

Real Madrid is trying to get every edge they can on Napoli, and they’re willing to go so far as to make the two sides of the pitch different.

“They are flooding the [side of the] field where we have to attack,” that says. “Same thing for the first half.” However, that backfired when Lorenzo Insigne put a skip shot into the back of the net in the opening period.

Notably, Napoli is used to playing on a waterlogged pitch.

Real Madrid seems to like the slightly more dry grass, though. They scored in the first half and added another goal quickly after halftime.
