Manchester City vs. Monaco 2017 live stream: Time, TV schedule, and how to watch online

Manchester City will hope to avoid an upset at home to Monaco on Tuesday.

Two in-form teams clash in the Champions League's first knockout round at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, with Manchester City playing host to Monaco. City may have endured a few high-profile wobbles since Pep Guardiola arrived in the summer, but they've gone six unbeaten in all competitions since being smashed 4-0 by Everton in the Premier League last month.

Monaco, meanwhile, haven’t lost a single game this side of Christmas, and are currently three points clear of Paris Saint-Germain at the top of the French domestic table. They’re looking increasingly capable of going the distance in Ligue 1, and Leonardo Jardim’s talented young side will certainly be optimistic of unsettling a fragile City defence when they visit England.

Three big things to know

1. City will still be without centre-back Vincent Kompany, while young striker Gabriel Jesus recently fractured his metatarsal and could miss the remainder of the season. Full-back Gaël Clichy remains in doubt.

2. Monaco will certainly be without young Brazilian pair Gabriel Boschilia and Jemerson, who are injured and suspended respectively. Andrea Raggi, Tiemoué Bakayoko, and Guido Carrillo are all early doubts.

3. This will be the first meeting between these sides in history. City did however play French opposition in the Champions League knockout stages last season, beating Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 on aggregate in the quarterfinals. They went on to lose 1-0 to eventual winners Real Madrid in the semis.
