Galaxy vs. Timbers 2017 live stream: Start time, TV schedule, and how to watch MLS online

The Galaxy are hoping their second match goes better than their first.

Sunday’s premier matchup in MLS is pitting two of the top sides in the Western Conference against each other as the Los Angeles Galaxy host the Portland Timbers in a match that could help both teams in the early-season jockeying for positioning in the conference.

Neither team particularly enjoyed the way their seasons ended a year ago, and are eager to get this started on the right foot this season. So far that plan is going well for Portland, who won their first match of the season against Minnesota United quite handily to create a strong start that they hope can help carry them through a tough opening stretch of their schedule.

The Galaxy didn’t enjoy their first match nearly as much, losing 2-1 to FC Dallas at home in a tough match that just never really saw them get enough breaks to sustain any in-match momentum. The Timbers look like a similarly tough matchup for them to deal with, and this match in particular will be a big test of just how strong a team the Galaxy are now in the post-Bruce Arena era.

To watch this match online in the U.S. you can stream it on the Fox Soccer 2GO subscription service, or with some internet providers you can stream it freely on Fox Sports Go. In Canada, it will be on MLS Live, and for listings in other countries you can check out LiveSoccerTV.

TV: Fox Sports 1 (U.S. - English), Fox Deportes (U.S. - Spanish)

Match Date/Time: Sunday, 7 p.m. ET, 4 p.m. local

Venue: StubHub Center, Carson, California
