The United States men’s national team is no longer in deep trouble in the Hexagonal, but still needs a good result on Tuesday. After posting a big home win against Honduras, the men will need to make sure they don’t lose to one of their big rivals for a World Cup place: Panama.

Clint Dempsey was spectacular in the last match, scoring a hat trick, but it was Christian Pulisic who arguably stole the show. Bruce Arena built his attack around the 18 year old, and almost every dangerous attack ran through him.

The Panamanians took four points from their first two games but have fallen a bit behind after losing in Trinidad on Friday. They’ll be just as desperate to avoid defeat as the Americans.

Four players who were on the United States roster for the last match are gone, including two starters. Sebastian Lletget and John Brooks, who were substituted with injuries, have not traveled to Panama. Neither have Jordan Morris or Michael Orozco Fiscal, who did not rest for that game. The only player brought into the squad as a replacement has been wide attacker Paul Arriola.
