The French Coupe de la Ligue reaches a climax on Saturday, with Paris Saint-Germain looking to defend their crown from Monaco. As it is, the Parisians have already tasted success on six occasions in this competition, though with pressure currently on coach Unai Emery, they’re sure to be hungry for success again here.

With Monaco provisionally three points clear at the top of the domestic table, and PSG already dumped out of the Champions League, there’s no guarantee that the Parisian giants will sweep up silverware this season. That means we can expect them to go all-out in search of a victory away in Lyon.

These sides drew 1-1 when they met in the league back in January, with Monaco winning on each of the two previous occasions. Not since Aug. 2015 have PSG managed to get one over on Monaco; on that occasion, Edinson Cavani netted a hat-trick as Laurent Blanc’s side cruised to a 3-0 league win at the Stade Louis II.

For this encounter, Monaco have the lion’s share of the selection problems: Leonardo Jardim will be without Andrea Raggi, Guido Carrillo, and Gabriel Boschilia, who are all injured; Fabinho is sidelined through suspension. Radamel Falcao and Djibril Sidibé both face late fitness tests. PSG’s only certain absentee is center-back Marquinhos; right-sided defender Thomas Meunier is an early doubt.
