Defensive duo Jerome Boateng and Javi Martinez are both expected to miss out with minor injuries that Carlo Ancelotti doesn’t want to risk. Mainz are without just one key player — defender Gaetan Bussman — and will hopefully be at full readiness otherwise, which they’ll need to be at against an angry Bayern team.
