Napoli’s Dries Mertens catches Juventus slipping and scores on goalkeeper right after entering as a sub

Got ‘em!

Today in wild soccer sequences, Dries Mertens saw an opportunity and grabbed it.

He had just gotten subbed into this game between Juventus and Napoli, when he saw the goalie seemed to be a little off his game.

Mertens sped up and reached the ball just as it slipped past the keeper and scooooored!

Imagine how it must have felt to have just been called out, as Arek Milik was pulled for Mertens, only to see this go down just even seconds later.

Even better, Napoli won, 3-2. Cheers to seizing the moment.
