Arsène Wenger’s side head into their game-in-hand away at Southampton on Wednesday knowing that a victory would move them above United and within three points of fourth-placed Manchester City. They’re sure to be up for the fight.

Now’s certainly a good time to be playing Southampton, who are winless in their last four matches. The pressure is mounting on manager Claude Puel, who seems to be relying on a late rally in order to save his job. Whispers linking Hull City boss Marco Silva with a summer move to St. Mary’s abound.
Southampton will be without Alex McCarthy and Virgil van Dijk, who are both injured; this game will also come too early for long-term absentees Matt Targett and Charlie Austin, who are nearing first-team returns. Arsenal’s only confirmed absentee is Santi Cazorla, though Lucas Pérez faces a late fitness test.
