Real Madrid are full of swagger and confidence right now, heading across Madrid to face Atlético Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League semifinal tie while carrying a huge 3-0 aggregate lead. Many are already calling this tie effectively over — but it won’t actually be over until the final whistle blows, and Diego Simeone is going to do everything he can to make sure his team has a chance to make the final.

Simeone’s Atlético team is one that never gives up, and with their home faithful behind them, they’re going to be trying to come out as strongly as possible in this match to punch Real in the face — probably just metaphorically, but possibly literally as well, given how physical a side they are — knock them off balance, and get themselves an early goal or two to get back into the tie.

And you know what? It just might work. Real Madrid are a team that can get a little overconfident and thus exposed at times, though that’s been somewhat less of an issue under Zinedine Zidane than it has at times in the past. If they do get caught out like that here, though, this match has the potential to get very, very interesting in a hurry, because as big a lead as 3-0 looks like, it has the potential to disappear in a hurry.

To watch this match online in the United States, you can stream it on the Fox Soccer 2GO subscription service or stream it for free on Fox Sports Go or WatchESPN if you’re with certain internet or TV providers. In Spain, the match will be shown on beIN Sports Connect España, and for listings in other countries, you can check out LiveSoccerTV.
