Leicester City vs. Tottenham 2017 live stream: Start time, TV channel, and how to watch online

This season isn’t ending ideally for either Tottenham or Leicester, but they can both still get something out of this game.

With the end of the Premier League season rapidly approaching, there’s less and less for most teams to play for. The title has been won, the three teams being relegated have been determined, and few meaningful spots in between are up for grabs. But Leicester City can still try to claw their way into a spot in the top half of the table, and Tottenham Hotspur still need to secure second place for themselves.

It’s been a long and, ultimately, disappointing season for both teams. Spurs will be without any trophies again and saw their chase of the EPL title come up short, and Leicester will regret not taking better advantage of their title-winning momentum from a year ago. But both teams have the ability to scrape something useful out of this game — Spurs securing second place, and Leicester giving themselves a shot at a top half spot in the final standings. It’s not what they wanted, but it’s a whole lot better than some of the potential alternatives.

Leicester City are carrying a few important injuries, with Andy King and Robert Huth in doubt to be able to play, plus Danny Drinkwater, Wes Morgan, Nampalys Mendy, and Molla Wague all out. That’s a lot of their defensive and midfield depth on the shelf, and against a team that can flow freely in attack like Tottenham can, that hurts. Of course, for their part Tottenham Hotspur aren’t completely healthy either, with Kieran Trippier, Kyle Walker, and Harry Winks all in doubt, plus Danny Rose and Erik Lamela out for the season. That’s going to force Tottenham into a bit of a patchwork defense as well, which could prove interesting against the triumvirate of Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez, and Shinji Okazaki.
