The FIFA U-20 World Cup has gone fairly well for the United States so far, earning a big draw in their first match. Now it’s time to get a win, but that’s going to be a tough task against a very talented Senegal side.
USA vs. Senegal, 2017 U-20 World Cup: Time, TV channel, and live stream
The USMNT youths need to avoid another early breakdown against a tough Senegal side if they’re going to get their first group win.

Senegal are coming off a 2-0 win against Saudi Arabia in group action, a game in which they scored twice in the opening 15 minutes and then sat back and controlled the proceedings of the match. It was a comprehensively dominant performance, giving them a lot of confidence coming into their match against the USMNT youths.
The United States, for their part, did well to come back twice to earn a 3-3 draw against Ecuador in their group opener, with Luca de la Torre scoring deep in extra time to earn his team a much-needed point. But it was the attacking flair of Josh Sargent that did most of the work for the U.S. U-20’s, scoring a brace of goals on each side of halftime to level the score after their defense broke down early. That defense, and the American midfield, will need to be much better in this match, because Senegal’s defense looks even tougher than Ecuador’s, so another early breakdown might be too much to come back from this time around.
