The Serie A weekend reaches a climax with AC Milan playing host to AS Roma at the San Siro. Roma head into this game knowing that they must at least match Juve’s result against Torino in Saturday’s Derby della Mole, or else Massimiliano Allegri’s side will mathematically seal a remarkable sixth-straight Serie A title.

However, that would only be delaying the inevitable; of rather more immediate concern for Roma is the fact that they’re only a point clear of third-place Napoli after last weekend’s derby defeat to Lazio. They’ll be looking to secure second as quickly as possible, and ensure a free pass into the Champions League group stages.

As for Milan, they’re enduring some rocky form of their own, and have won just one of their last five matches. They’re now five points adrift of Atalanta, who occupy the final European qualification spot, with Vincenzo Montella’s side seeing their season peter out in rather disappointing fashion.

AC Milan will be without Giacomo Bonaventura, Ignazio Abate and Luca Antonelli through injury; Juraj Kucka is sidelined with a suspension. AS Roma will certainly have to do without the injured Alessandro Florenzi; Antonio Rüdiger and Kevin Strootman are both suspended.
