Saturday’s Confederations Cup action is not to be missed, with hosts Russia doing battle with Mexico in a bid to avoid an early elimination. Heading into the final round of group stage matches, Mexico sit top of their group, and need only a draw to guarantee their safe passage into the next round. Russia, however, need a win to avoid a premature exit.
Confederations Cup 2017: Mexico vs. Russia start time, TV channel, and live stream
Mexico could eliminate hosts Russia in Saturday’s Confederations Cup clash.

That should set up a very tense fixture, particularly for a Russia side bearing the weight of the hosts’ expectations. They managed to beat New Zealand on the opening matchday, though a subsequent defeat to Portugal has left them on the ropes. For their part, Mexico remain unbeaten, having followed up a draw against Portugal with a win over New Zealand.
Russia are boosted by the news that they have a full-strength team available. The same can’t be said for Mexico, who will be without young defender Carlos Salcedo: he requires shoulder surgery, and will miss the remainder of the tournament. Néstor Araujo is expected to take his place.
