Cameroon put up a brave fight in the tournament so far, but that wasn’t enough to get so much as a win. They had a great performance in a losing effort against Chile, but getting just one point against Australia means that they have to beat Germany to advance, and by several goals. That’s not going to be easy, and and it seems as though their tournament may effectively already be over.

That success comes in spite of Germany leaving all their big stars at home, preferring to lean on younger players that need more experience with the senior squad. That young core has risen to the challenge in a big way, making Germany arguably the most interesting and entertaining side in the Confederations Cup so far.
