The United States men’s national team doesn’t seem too concerned about the possibility of getting overrun by Venezuela. Bruce Arena has picked a very attacking lineup for Saturday night’s friendly.
USA vs. Venezuela lineups
Bruce Arena has picked a very attacking team.

This team could line up in a number of formations, but a flat 4-4-2 seems most likely. Michael Bradley is the only one in the lineup that Arena used as a central midfielder during his first two games. Darlington Nagbe, who played on the wing in those matches, looks likely to move inside. However, it’s possible that Arena is playing an unbalanced and attacking diamond formation with Christian Pulisic as a No. 10.
Clint Dempsey and Bobby Wood have been preferred up top to Jozy Altidore, while Geoff Cameron starts in the center of defense over Omar Gonzalez.
United States starting lineup (4-4-2): Tim Howard; Jorge Villafaña, John Brooks, Geoff Cameron, DeAndre Yedlin; Christian Pulisic, Michael Bradley, Darlington Nagbe, Fabian Johnson; Clint Dempsey, Bobby Wood
Venezuela starting lineup (4-4-2): José Contreras; Mikel Villanueva, Rubert Quijada, José Manuel Velazquez, Pablo Camacho; Francisco Flores, Darwin Machis, Júnior Moreno, Jhon Murillo; Solomón Rondon, Christian Santos
Kickoff is just after 10 p.m. ET from Rio Tinto Stadium in Utah. You can catch the game on Fox Sports 1.
