The USMNT has made a shaky start to the final round of its World Cup qualification campaign, winning only one of its opening four matches. The men currently find themselves precariously positioned in the intercontinental playoff place and will be looking to move up into the automatic qualification spots with a win at home to Trinidad and Tobago in Denver on Thursday.
USA vs. Trinidad and Tobago live stream: How to watch USMNT’s World Cup qualifier online
The USMNT return to competitive action when it hosts Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday.

They can take optimism from the fact that they’re still unbeaten since Bruce Arena took charge, including an impressive 6-0 thrashing of Honduras in the last slate of qualifying matches. Trinidad and Tobago also currently sit rock bottom of the group, having lost three of their first four encounters. That said, they’re only a point below the USMNT themselves.
Arena will have to do without Timothy Chandler, who has withdrawn from the national team with a hamstring problem. His defensive counterpart, John Brooks, could also miss out, with the Wolfsburg center half having suffered a bruised quad in the side’s draw with Venezuela on Sunday. Fortunately, there are plenty of defenders in Arena’s squad ready to step up and take his place.
