The United States has a tough opening match at the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

These teams met back in November, with the Americans traveling to Panama City. The USMNT was held to a 1-1 draw, and they had all of their top players available on that day. The likes of Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley, Christian Pulisic and Jozy Altidore are sitting out the group stage of the Gold Cup.
Panama has left some of their older veterans behind, but their team can’t be called a B-squad. They’ll be fielding what is arguably their strongest possible team for the Gold Cup opener.
Last weekend, the USMNT put together a very good performance in a friendly against Ghana, winning 2-1 with goals from debutant Dom Dwyer and midfielder Kellyn Acosta. Expect those two to be key players for the United States during the Gold Cup.
