The Premier League season is finally underway, and Manchester United will be hoping to get their campaign off to a strong start with an emphatic win over West Ham United in front of the home faithful at Old Trafford.

After spending several years struggling in the doldrums outside of the Champions League places in England, Jose Mourinho and company have their eye on returning not just to the title race this season, but to the champions’ podium in the EPL. To that end, they’ve brought in some big talent in the form of Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic, and Vicotr Lindelof to reinforce the spine of their club, and they’re going to be eager to beat a West Ham side now spearheaded by ex-Manchester striker Javier Hernandez as thoroughly as they possibly can.

West Ham have a few key players missing for this match, with Diafra Sakho, Andy Carroll, Cheikhou Kouyate, and Manuel Lanzini all out, and the duo of Aaron Cresswell and Sofiane Feghouli in varying degrees of doubt. Manchester United have a few players out as well, with the knee injuries to Marcos Rojo and James Wilson still keeping them out long term, as well as long waits off the pitch left for Luke Shaw and Ashley Young.
