Liverpool made a disappointing start to the new Premier League season last weekend, throwing away a lead in stoppage time at Watford. They’ll certainly be hoping to bounce back in their first home game of the campaign, coming as they host Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Palace made an ominously poor start to their own season, losing 3-0 to newly promoted Huddersfield in manager Frank de Boer’s first competitive game in charge. The Eagles will be desperate for a reaction, and to build some momentum early in the campaign.

Liverpool will be without Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and Danny Ings, who are all injured. Nathaniel Clyne faces a late fitness test, and even if fit could be second choice to young right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. Palace will certainly be without Bakary Sako and Wilfried Zaha; Yohan Cabaye, Pape Souaré, James McArthur and Connor Wickham are all early doubts.
