A much-improved Leicester side hopes to spoil the perfect start of Manchester United’s season.

Last season saw Leicester City and Manchester United head in opposite directions in the English Premier League, with the Foxes falling well away from their championship status the year before, and Manchester United winning the League Cup and Europa League as they put in their best campaign since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Manchester have started this season of on absolute fire as well, winning their first two matches in dominant fashion over Swansea City and West Ham, scoring eight while having yet to give up one. Leicester’s start hasn’t been perfect, but they have two big wins in the last week between an EPL triumph over Brighton & Hove Albion, then a League Cup win over Sheffield United. The Foxes opened their season coming up just short in a wildly entertaining match against Arsenal, and now they’ll be hoping to use their own strong form to cut short Manchester United’s early celebrations.

Leicester City will be without Robert Huth and Vicente Iborra, with a number of key players in doubt as well — including Kelechi Iheanacho, Danny Drinkwater, Wes Morgan, and Harry Maguire. Manchester United, meanwhile, will be without a few players of their own, with Ashley Young, Luke Shaw, Marco Rojo, and James Wilson all still absent with various ailments, with the obvious additional absence of newly re-signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is still working his way back from the ACL tear that ended his season in the spring.
