Deportivo Alaves vs. Real Madrid live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch La Liga online

An injury-wracked Real Madrid team have to go on the road and get some much-needed points.

This season hasn’t really gone to plan so far for Real Madrid, and they certainly weren’t expecting for this trip north to face lowly Deportivo Alaves to be a must-win match. But that’s what they find themselves facing, because the defending La Liga champions find themselves sitting thoroughly mid-table five matches into the season.

That lowly eighth-place standing comes on the heels of a shocking last-minute loss to Real Betis that continued their winless ways at the Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga action this season. Madrid looked adrift in that match much like they had at home against Valencia and Levante earlier this season, so they might just be glad to be on the road again to get their focus back, and hopefully some points along with it.

Perhaps fortunately for Madrid, they’ll be facing a team that has lost every match they’ve played this season. In point of fact, Alaves have yet to even score a single goal this season, a shocking statistic five games into the campaign. A win should be a given here for Madrid, and frankly if they do anything less than completely dominate this match, a lot of questions will need answering.

That said Real Madrid come into this match with a fair amount of their lineup injured, with Toni Kroos, Mateo Kovacic, Marcelo, and Karim Benzema all on the injured list, as well as reserve defender Theo Hernandez. Deportivo Alaves have a pair of injuries in Litri and Laguardia, but those two have played a combined fifteen minutes for Alaves this season, so they’re not a huge loss right now.
