PSG attacker Neymar is currently sidelined with a foot injury that will see him out for the remainder of the club season, though he should be healthy and ready to go for Brazil in the World Cup this summer.
Neymar did a bad tweet

On Wednesday, astrophysicist Stephen Hawking passed away at the age of 76.
I really wish that these two facts could have just existed in the world, separate and unrelated, and never the twain shall meet.
Neymar had other ideas.
Apparently linking Hawking’s decades-long battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease) with his own foot injury — which he should be fully recovered from in, like, May — Neymar posted a tweet showing him in a walking boot and wheelchair along with a quote from Hawking.
The quote is a Portuguese translation of Hawking: “One has to have a positive attitude and must make the best of the situation that one finds oneself in.”
The reasons this is a bad tweet are numerous and varied. But most glaring is that Neymar clearly heard a famous man died today who happened to spend much of his life in a wheelchair, and, I imagine, could only think: I, famed soccer player Neymar, am also at this very moment in a wheelchair. This man’s life can thus be connected to the life that is currently being led by me, famed soccer player Neymar. I need to get on social media and post a photo of myself, posing ever so nonchalantly, to make sure this topical moment is connected to me, famed soccer player Neymar. This photo will also show my adoring fans how strong I, famed soccer player Neymar, am while fighting this very real fight, which is similar to the fight the science man fought, though one might argue it’s even more heartbreaking a situation for me because he was just a science man and I am, again, famed soccer player Neymar.
Also just go full naked, Neymar. Do the thing.
