The narrowest tie of the Champions League quarterfinal round this year, Bayern Munich head back home to the Allianz Arena protecting a narrow 2-1 aggregate lead over Sevilla. They do have two away goals in their pocket, but we’ve seen some surprising results already in the quarterfinal round that would suggest that Bayern are anything but safe.

That’s especially true with how hard Sevilla are known for fighting when their backs are against the walls like this. Yes, their form isn’t the best right now, but they have a solid side that plays spectacularly well as a solid unit, and it’s so much fun to watch them at their best. They’ve put together a deserved reputation as a difficult cup-game team to beat, and they’re going to put that reputation to work on Wednesday.

But Bayern Munich are Bayern Munich, and they’re not going to let their pair of advantages go easily. It’s going to be a long and tough day on both teams, but the specter of having to score two or preferably three goals may just be too much for Sevilla to pull off this time. Still, it’s going to be an entertaining match, and potentially one of the most dramatic of the Champions League season so far.
