Awful, miserable ref correctly disallows Iran goal vs. Spain

Way to go, bud. Good stuff.

Everything is stupid and nothing matters.

Iran scored a goal against Spain during their World Cup match on Wednesday. The goal tied the game, 1-1, and gave huge underdogs Iran a chance to steal three points off giants Spain.

Or, at least that’s what we all thought. Until the referees had to ruin everything by correctly calling it offside.

You might be slightly confused by that previous statement. “How can the refs ruin everything by calling something correctly?,” you might ask. I’ll tell you how: By doing just that. By taking a goal away from these beautiful Iranian boys who were so happy that they celebrated with the whole freaking team, including subs and assistant coaches.

Everyone was so happy. And, yes, the call was correct. But know what is incorrect? Taking away their happiness.

Spain held on to win, 1-0. Iran was left with nothing. Everything is terrible.

Here’s the dumb, correct call.

Awesome. Way to go. We got it “right”. Justice is “served”. I hope you’re all happy. VAR is the police. Nothing matters. Let’s all eat bran flakes for breakfast and get our taxes done on time. Let’s talk about how broccoli has a surprising amount of Vitamin C and make sure we get a good eight hours of sleep every night. Cool. Sure.

Now, let is stare upon the celebration that was for nothing, because, again, the ref is a horrible idiot who got a call right.

This World Cup is deeply unfair, and so is life. Article over.
