As the FIFA World Cup builds up to the final this Sunday, we must also take this moment to freak out about the fact that it’s ending. The past month has been totally brilliant and totally nerve-racking and I am not ready to say goodbye. What am I supposed to do when this thing is over? Talk to people? Go outside? I won’t have it.

But here, let us look back on this beautiful tournament, and appreciate some of the numbers that helped us make sense of the whole thing.

The number of own goals scored this World Cup, an all-time record. (What a sad record, too!)

The number of set piece goals scored in this World Cup, also an all-time record. (This is a much happier record, at least for the teams that scored.)

The amount of minutes Neymar spent on the ground in the tournament.

The amount of times Neymar was fouled this World Cup (the most fouls suffered by any player in the tournament) showing that while there were some histrionics, he was hacked a lot.

The amount of people in Britain who tuned in to England’s quarterfinal match against Sweden, or 87.7 percent of the total TV audience.

The number of beers thrown in the air after goals were scored by delirious fans. (This is an estimate.)

The age Kylian Mbappé will be when he (most likely) starts for France in the World Cup final.

The amount of hours of World Cup soccer Luka Modric played for Croatia in the three matches leading up to the final. (Three matches, each 120 minutes.)

The number of miles Modric ran over the course of the World Cup, the most of any player.

The total amount of passes completed in the 2018 World Cup. We think Modric completed roughly 41,000 of them.

The number of players in the final four World Cup teams who currently play club soccer in England.

The amount of straight red cards issued in the World Cup for violent play.
