France is currently leading Croatia 4-2, and this World Cup final is wild, but we need to stop for a minute and talk about this Paul Pogba pass, because it is making me feel things.
Paul Pogba’s goal was great, but his initial pass was absolute perfection
Look at this #$@#% pass!

The pass eventually led to Pogba scoring, a goal which gave France a 3-1 lead.
The goal was wonderful. Pogba kept his head when the initial shot was blocked, then hit it cleanly with his left foot to wrong-foot Subasic and grab that much needed third goal for France. It was nice. It was good.
But that pass. That pass.
I can’t even explain that pass. When he hit it, I stood up in the office. I started yelling before Mbappe even got to the ball.
That’s a 60-yard ball hit at pace, on an angle, to free a striker and break down an entire defense. It opened the entire thing up, and eventually led to the goal. I just ... like, how does Pogba even see that pass? How does that thought even cross his mind? That dude looked up, and said, You know what, I’m going to hit a bouncing ball about three yards off the ground and have it travel 45 yards, and have it bounce twice, and hit Kylian Mbappe in stride.
You have to just start laughing at that. That’s taking what we thought was possible on a soccer field and saying: Nah.
The goal was great. This game has had a lot of wonderful moments. But don’t forget that pass. Never forget that pass.
