Huskies at Ducks OddsShark Matchup Report

Washington Huskies

Since losing its season opener to the Auburn Tigers 21-16, Washington has gone 5-0 SU and 2-3 ATS with a 3-0 SU conference record. The Huskies have enjoyed some very strong performances in a 21-7 road win over Utah and a 35-7 win at home over BYU this season, but have also underwhelmed in close games against Arizona State and UCLA in which they were big favorites.

Washington ranks third in the nation in scoring defense allowing only 13.7 points per game, and that defense will need to bring its best effort this Saturday against the Ducks.

The Huskies are 13-2 SU and 9-6 ATS in their last 15 games as a road favorite per the OddsShark College Football Database.

Oregon Ducks

Oregon’s balanced attack lands the Ducks in the Top 30 in the nation in both passing yards per game with 287.6 and rushing yards per game with 216 so far in 2018. The Ducks rank 14th in the nation in total yards with 503 per game and 12th in scoring with 45.6 points per game, both up significantly from last season.

Since going 7-3 SU and 8-2 ATS in their previous 10 games as a home underdog, the Ducks are just 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five instances as one.

Saturday’s total is set at 58 points. The OVER is 4-0 in Washington’s last four road games against the Ducks.

Matchups between top offenses and top defenses always make for interesting showdowns. The College Football Playoff committee may eventually forgive the Huskies for their season opening loss to Auburn if they are able to run the table the rest of the way, but Oregon hopes to dash those dreams Saturday afternoon in Eugene.
