Khabib vs. McGregor odds: Betting props roundup for UFC 229 Main Event on Saturday

Prop bets like method of victory and length of the fight add intrigue to Khabib vs. McGregor as the sportsbooks roll out their odds for the marquee bout in Las Vegas.

Seven of Conor McGregor’s last eight fights have not made it out of the second round. McGregor is hoping that this trend continues with a quick knockout over his UFC 229 opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov Saturday night.

A wager on McGregor winning the fight in the first round is going off at +400 on the UFC 229 prop bets at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. An early knockout for McGregor is clearly the superstar’s best chance at a victory on Saturday. A second round McGregor win would pay +650, and then the odds decrease heavily as McGregor in Round 3 pays +1400, McGregor in Round 4 pays +2500, and McGregor in Round 5 pays +3600. McGregor by points would pay +900.

On the other hand, the most likely path to victory according to this proposition for Khabib Nurmagomedov is a victory on points, which would pay +400. Five of Nurmagomedov’s last seven fights have gone to the cards for a decision win. A Nurmagomedov win in Round 1 would pay +500, Round 2 +550, Round 3 +650, Round 4 +900, and Round 5 +1200.

The total on this fight is set at 2.5 rounds on the Khabib vs. McGregor odds, with the UNDER going off as a slight underdog at -140 while the OVER 2.5 rounds pays +100. Bettors who believe this will be a quick fight can bet that the fight will not complete the first round at +190, with the alternative wager that it will complete the first round paying -280.

The fight completing the second round is a much tougher call as both “Yes” and “No” are paying -120. The UFC 229 Main Event is a -475 favorite to not go the distance and would pay +285 if it does.

McGregor’s odds to win the fight are sitting at +125 at sportsbooks. Paying just slightly better than that are his odds to win the fight by knockout, TKO or disqualification at +165. Nurmagomedov is a -155 favorite to win the fight in any fashion, though bettors that want to bet on his method of victory can get him at +400 to win by decision, +300 to win by knockout, and +205 to win by submission.
