Thunder at Pelicans OddsShark Matchup Report

Oklahoma City Thunder

Since opening the season with four straight losses and a 1-4 SU and ATS record through five games, the Thunder have found their groove and climbed to the top of the Western Conference standings.

Oklahoma City is 16-4 SU and 14-6 ATS in 20 games since then and enters Wednesday’s action a half game ahead of Golden State for first place in the conference. Paul George and Russell Westbrook have great chemistry as the team’s 1-2 punch and big-man Steven Adams has continued to develop his offensive game.

The Thunder have enjoyed recent success against the Pelicans with a 6-2 SU and ATS record in their last eight games against New Orleans per the OddsShark NBA Database.

New Orleans Pelicans

New Orleans has essentially had Oklahoma City’s season in reverse, opening the year with four straight wins and a 3-1 ATS record only to follow that up with a 10-15 SU and ATS record since then.

Anthony Davis continues to be one of the best players in the game averaging 27.4 points and 12.2 rebounds, but the team hasn’t been finding wins due in large part to a defense that allows 115.6 points per game. The Pelicans are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 home games against the Thunder.

Wednesday night’s total is set at 232 points. The OVER is 6-1 in Oklahoma City’s last seven games in New Orleans.

While the Pelicans average 5.8 more points per game than the Thunder, they also allow 10.9 more points per game than Oklahoma City. This game will likely end up turning into a shootout, but the Thunder have the edge when it comes to making some stops down the stretch.
