With a 4-1 win at home over Cardiff City last weekend, Chelsea moved into first place on the English Premier League table due to its goal differential tiebreaker of +10 over Liverpool’s +9. Both Chelsea and Liverpool are off to perfect 5-0-0 starts to the season and Chelsea will try to stay perfect this Sunday on the road against West Ham United.
English Premier League Matchweek 6 odds, betting trends
Four of the top five teams in the English Premier League are on the road this week including Chelsea as a clear betting favorite at the sportsbooks facing West Ham.

Chelsea is a -190 road favorite on the Premier League odds over West Ham (+550 to win, +350 to draw) at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. A huge match against Liverpool looms next Saturday, so Chelsea will have to avoid looking ahead to that one to focus on the task at hand of earning three points on the road this weekend.
West Ham is 3-1 in its last four home games against Chelsea.
Liverpool will also need to avoid looking ahead to its road match against Chelsea, especially coming off a tough 2-1 road win over Tottenham last Saturday. Fortunately for Liverpool, this Saturday’s match comes at home as a -500 favorite hosting Southampton (+1500 to win, +600 to draw).
Southampton lost both of its Premier League matches against Liverpool last season with a 3-0 score at Liverpool and a 2-0 score at home.
Despite falling two points behind Liverpool and Chelsea with a draw on its 4-1-0 record, Manchester City is still the favorite on the odds to win the Premier League at -150. This Saturday, Manchester City is a massive -650 road favorite facing Cardiff City (+1800 to win, +700 to draw). Cardiff is still looking for its first win of 2018 with an 0-2-3 record through its first five matches.
Even with a 4-0-1 start to the season that includes a 2-1 win over Tottenham, Watford still isn’t getting much respect going off as a +200 underdog this Saturday on the road against lowly Fulham (+145 to win, +250 to draw). Fulham is just 1-1-3 so far this season and is 0-2 in its last two matches against Watford.
Rounding out the top five teams on the EPL table, Bournemouth is on the road as a slight favorite at +155 over Burnley (+185 to win, +235 to draw). Burnley went a respectable 14-12-12 last season to finish seventh in the league standings but is off to a disastrous start in 2018 sitting in dead last at 0-4-1.
